Kei Condo Square Plate 2026
Handmade in Kasama using iron-rich local clay, each piece carries Condo's signature yellow and green glazes, built up and scraped back by hand to reveal the warmth and texture of the clay beneath. The surfaces shift in tone depending on the light, and no two pieces are exactly alike. Designed for the table, they are meant to be used, held, and returned to daily.
Kei Condo was born in 1981 in Kasama City, Japan, a region with one of the oldest ceramic traditions in the Kanto area. His distinctive palette emerged through years of experimentation with glazes, firing temperatures, and technique. His work has been featured at Noma Kyoto in 2023 and at renowned restaurants and hotels worldwide.
