Moon Surface Shinogi Serving Bowl 10"
Riso Porcelain's Shinogi Serving Bowl brings together two of the kiln's defining qualities in a single piece. Shinogi refers to the traditional Japanese technique of carving fine, parallel ridges into the clay body, a practice rooted in sword-making aesthetics where "shinogi" describes the ridge line running along a blade. Here, those ridges run vertically down the exterior of the bowl, creating a precise, tactile surface that contrasts with the Moon Surface glaze within. The Moon Surface finish pools and scatters across the interior in muted tones of charcoal and grey, evoking the quiet texture of weathered stone. At 10", it is well suited for salads, noodles, or any shared dish at the table.
